Viola is an international language school that helps kids and adults learn English and Spanish language. They started in 2008 and helped thousands of students pass international tests, such as IELTS and TOEFL. For Viola school Klad has prepared a complete web redesign to make it look friendly, warm, inviting yet modern and minimalistic. The UI was made highly accessible due to the high variation in users' age groups.
We created a clean and warm look by accelerating their original colours and fonts. One of the key challenges was to design a simple yet unique UI that would suit a broad audience, including kids, teenagers and professionals.
The website's primary goal is to provide an overview of available programmes. Study courses were divided into language groups and categorised by learning aims and language levels. This way, the navigation directory was designed in a very systematised yet simple style.
Lastly, we created a set of illustrations that made the web experience unique, cosy and inviting. Specifically, we created a hero illustration with a man on a book symbolising a student's learning path.
We further wanted to extend this cosy feel by adding some secondary illustrations. One of the notable details that we implemented was micro-animations. Everywhere you can find plant leaves slightly moving, fish swimming in a bowl and a clock turning. These animations helped to make the web page look more alive, yet such subtle touches would not distract customers from following the main text.
